The Third Chevaliers Party at the Boisdale – Thursday 27th July 2006

The Chevaliers' third party, held at the Boisdale Bishopsgate, was an excellent evening hosted by Nathan Evans for 80 members and their guests. The champagne was plentiful as always, with a number of guests sabraging.

The 2006 Grand Draw was held on this occasion with a number of happy winners present to hear their good fortune.

Andrew Woodward, of the Boat Inn, joined in the fun at Boisdale. Here, with the Ambassador, Andrew's next event is 8 Septmber for sabrage and champagne dinner.
Gerard OShea and Ken Chaproniere - two Maitre Sabreurs who worked tirelessly to sabrage all the novices, enjoying vintage Joseph Perrier.
'Oops, you got me!' The manageress enjoys a glass of champarne.
Campbell Porter, a new member of the Club, makes his first sabrage, guided by Gerard O'Shea.
Campbell's sabrage completed. Looking on, centre, is Nathan Evans of Boisdale plc who hosted the event.
Boisdale was the scene for our Chevaliers' Summer Party, funded by the Prize Draw held at the Mandarin Oriental in the Spring. On 27 July, Dame Heather Beattie joined the growing ranks of Sabreurs.
Dame Heather was intronised by the Ambassador, watched by Sir Neville Purvis and Sue Bancroft.
Chevalier Lord Watson of Richmond was also there. Formerly the Maitre Sabreur of the Engkish-Speaking Union Caveau, Alan has now 'retired' to join the Embassy Caveau of Sabreurs.
The Grand Draw was carried out by three lady members - Sue Bancroft, seen here in action, Judy Taller-Smith, centre, and Angela Cavill - who, to her huge surprise, won the trip to Paris - drawn by Sue! Pin Ong, Treasurer and scrutineer, looks on.
David and Angela Cavill, left, won the tickets to the Grand Chapitre International in Paris on 18th November. Alan Watson, centre, Dominique Largeron and Soraya Awan
