At the foot of the Montagne de Reims, the Georges Vesselle vineyard covers 17 hectares, spread over half-way up the hillside around the village. The vineyard boasts the much sought-after Grand Cru appellation. The cellars have been dug 16 m deep into chalk and exist at a constant temperature of 10 °C.

Bouzy is famous for its champagnes, but also for its red wines (Coteaux Champenois) which have acquired a name of their own: Bouzy Rouge.

Bruno Vesselle (Head of Business Development and Communication) will be with us at the event to introduce and discuss the Cuvées being presented with each course.

-
Grand Cru Cuvée - 'Vintage 2012, Brut Nature'
Vinified without adding 'dosage', revealing its 'naked truth' (90% Pinot Noir 10% Chardonnay).

-
Grand Cru Cuvée - 'Blanc de Blancs, Brut Extra'
100% Chardonnay and entirely from Bouzy's clay and chalk soils.

-
Grand Cru Cuvée - 'Blanc de Noirs'
100% Pinot Noir and lightly dosed with only 3g/l, recently disgorged.

-
Grand Cru Bouzy Rouge, Pinot Noir 2008
100% Bouzy Pinot Noir. The wine is preserved in a large 'foudre' (20-35 hl), then in a 'demi-muid' (6-15hl) and finished in a Burgundian 'pièce' (2.07hl). 2008 was a fine year for keeping.

-
Grand Cru Cuvée - 'Brut Rosé'
A blend of different years to which is added 12-15% of Bouzy Rouge.
