David Herbert

(Maître de la Communication)

David was born and educated in London. After an engineering apprenticeship and a career in computer networking, he is now retired and enjoys keeping fit, music, restaurants, good wine, film and of course Champagne!

​

David is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians and created their archive website, devoted to a 500 year collection of rare music manuscripts, artworks and company documentation.

​

He is a member and Past Chairman of the Coleman Street Ward Club in the City of London, having also created and managed its website for many years. 

​

He now lives with wife, Sandra, in Dorset but still very much enjoys the social life of the City, together with its traditions and pageantry.

​

He is a Grand Commandeur of the Confrérie du Sabre d’Or, Deputy Editor of The Golden Sabre magazine and creator/manager of this website. David also manages the New Member and Event Booking systems and handles table arrangements for all Club Events, he administers the Members' Register and serves on the Embassy Council as Maître de la Communication.
