The UK & Ireland Chapter of the Confrérie du Sabre d'Or continued its return to near normal activities, with an Autumn Gala Ball at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington. Following the success of our reopening event in July of this year, we dined again in the Hotel's flagship event space: The Shannon Suite.

A Champagne reception of Taittinger Brut Réserve in the Hotel's Liffey Suite followed the rank elevation of 41 Members at the 40e Grand Chapitre Britannique (Click Here for a listing of those promotions). Dinner was called and 130 of us processed into the Shannon Suite for a sumptuous 4 course dinner, with further Taittinger Champagne in bottles, Magnums, Jeroboams and Methusalems! A fine red wine (the Avant Garde, Domaine Carneros, Pinot Noir) and the Taittinger 'Nocture' Rosé was also served. Live Music from 'The Executives' through until 1am completed an excellent evening.

A few photographs from the event are now available and have been split into four sections. Click on the relevant box below to see those images:

Ambassador for the Confrérie in the UK and Ireland, Gerard O'Shea, welcomed Philippe Brugnon, Deputy Grand Maître of the Grand Council in France and Caroline Dufour, patron of Le Grand Café in Reims, both of whom had made the journey over to the UK to be with us on our first Chapitre for 2 full years.
